Visit Minam, Oregon
Minam is the gateway to Wallowa County and recreation in the Eagle Cap Wilderness. The Minam Wild and Scenic River originates out of Blue and Minam Lakes. This 77-mile-long river is classified as "wild." Its outstandingly remarkable values include outdoor recreation, scenery, fisheries, wildlife and geology.
The community of Minam itself is located at the confluence of the Wallowa and Minam rivers. This area makes the most of the beautiful Wallowa River, attracting anglers, boaters, rafters and those seeking time off the grid.
The Minam Store specializes in all things river related. Besides guided trips, raft rentals, and shuttles the Minam Store has a full selection of fly fishing gear, beer, soda, coffee, ice cream, and all rafting essentials.
For a truly special one-of-a-kind experience, stay at the Minam River Lodge - Accessible only by 8.5-mile hike from Moss Springs trailhead, horseback ride or charter plane ride. This former beloved hunting lodge has been completely rebuilt as a cozy wilderness hideaway, far from civilization or roads. The kitchen at the Minam River Lodge serves breakfast, lunch and family-style dinner daily with a contemporary wilderness style, emphasizing the bounty of their own garden and of small local ranch partners.
